Saturday 5th November, Garlands Nightclub will pay tribute to the iconic Queen of clubland Mark Jenkins.
Mark was a pioneer in club land, always pushing the boundaries and his eccentric style and character made him one of the most infamous club promoters liverpool has ever seen.
He created ‘Fairies Across The Mersey’ Garlands much loved ferries and was always centre of attention with his androgynous ways and looks.
His eclectic mix of fashion, pearls huge sunglasses and hats were his trademark and he was often interviewed for magazines and newspapers… always quoting his favourite line…. black white gay straight…. always striving for a better world and promoting the sharing of love.
Such a wonderful man always helping others and making the world a better place.
Our night for Mark will try and be as colourful as he was, money raised will go to his family and his chose charities pancreatic cancer and the cats refuge centre in Woolton.
Gone but never forgotten RIP Marky J.
